Dear Clients,
As we enter into a season of “giving” it is the perfect time to remind our clients of our 1% give-back program. As some of you already know, this is our second year of this program that allows our clients to designate which of our three sponsored charitable organizations will receive one percent (1%) of that client’s gross legal fees, to be paid from our law firm on your behalf.
The three charitable organizations we have selected this year are:
- Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research
- Tustin Community Foundation
- Surfrider Foundation, Newport Beach Chapter
You can find information about each of these groups on our website or theirs and we encourage you to visit each website for further information on their endeavors. We proudly stand behind each of these organizations and know our donations will go a long way in serving our community. All of these organizations are local and run on extremely low overhead, which is why we donate legal services to two of them year round.
Please provide your charitable organization selection by no later than December 15, 2017, and 1% of the income generated by the firm from your matter(s) will be donated by our law firm to the organization in your name by January of 2018. If you would like to make your own additional gift, to one of these charities, please feel free to send a separate check made out to the organization, which we can forward along with our firm’s donations.

It is really hard to speak, and even harder to "plan" generational wealth with a parent in terms of assets, intentions, and mortality, but it is a necessary conversation to have, if only to lessen the unfairness of life that eventually catches up to all of us.
Our family tried to bring justice to my father's death within this probate process and found no justice, this system must be changed, so that a fairness is inherit within this system and not just a scam—lots of hard lessons to be learned from a broken probate process.
In either case, thank you again for giving our family the attention and direction we sought. The adage is true, not all lawyers are the same. Looking forward to working with your office in the near future, as we don't want to repeat this experience with our Mom.
