John Schroeder, Esq.

John Schroeder is the Senior Litigation Counsel to the firm and now exclusively concentrates his practice in the areas of trust and probate litigation, conservatorship, elder abuse and related litigation. He has an extensive jury and non-jury trial background, including will and trust contests, business litigation, real property, and insurance coverage/bad faith. Mr. Schroeder is a highly accomplished trail attorney with verdicts and settlements into the eight-figure range. He has been trying cases for over 35 years. Recently Mr. Schroeder settled four cases in less than a week with settlement values well into the millions of dollars.

Mr. Schroeder has a long history of representing individuals, families and business organizations. He has recently settled retirement and trust cases dealing with fractional ownership of real estate holdings, improper attorney Trustee actions, Quiet Title actions arising out a series of trust and family law orders and a large insurance dispute tied to a trust. Mr. Schroeder has appeared in most major counties in California and was admitted to the California, New York and the District of Columbia bars.

Mr. Schroeder often handles matters relating to capacity of settlers of a trust relating to suspect trust amendments and the effect capacity has on ongoing business operations where the trust ensures business continuity. He has assisted charitable organization with contested gifts. He has also assisted Credit Unions with their insurance and operational issues.
